Plantation Timber, the true renewable resource

Benefits of Wespine Blue for the Builder

High Affordability
Now Builders can afford to provide the additional assurance of a termite and European House Borer protected frame for their clients.

Peace of Mind
Not only will the Builder have peace of mind that their home's wall and roof framing will be protected from termite and European House Borer destruction but will be able to provide their clients with the same peace of mind. This means that even if termites do get into the home, the potential for them to do serious damage is very limited.

Guarantee
The transferable 25 year conditional guarantee on protection of treated framing timber against termites and European House Borer ensures that the Builder is covered for the long term. Builders can recommend Wespine Blue treated framing to their clients and be confident that they will not have call backs for termite and borer damage to the treated structural timber (see guarantee form for conditions). This will also help Builders differentiate their projects by promoting the additional value of termite and European House Borer resistant construction to their clients.

Traceability
Koppers Arch Tanalised timber marking and guarantee program provides Builders and Homeowners with the documentation and support that they need.

Health and Safety
Wespine Blue represents a Iow hazard potential for the operators, timber users and the home occupants in the handling, construction and permanent state. Two independent reports have been completed to review occupational health and safety issues stating that overall Wespine Blue does not possess significant toxicological properties. It is not considered to be sensitising, teratogenic, reproductive, mutagenic or carcinogenic hazard to humans. Further details are available from Koppers Arch on (08) 9725 4511.

Compatibility
Wespine Blue treatment does not cause problems for other trades or building components such as fastener corrosion, plasterboard adhesion or painting. Supported by Koppers Arch Tanalised and 25 year guarantee program. Design and construction of the project is by the same method as untreated framing timber. The use Wespine Blue pine framing allows greater flexibility in the design and changes to that design right up to the construction time with little effect on the construction time or finished quality.

Waste Disposal
Wespine Blue treated timber wastes and off cuts do not require special handling and can be disposed of with normal untreated timber and building wastes.

Availability
As major timber producers and distributors discover how easy and cost effective it is to offer Wespine Blue treated framing timber, Builders will find that sourcing treated framing timber is easy and fast. Due to industry requests, an increased range of Wespine Blue will be available, refer to 'Size Availability' for the exact range.

Durability
Wespine Blue is a penetrating treatment - not just a superficial treatment which means that it is durable to exposure during construction and good for the long term once in the finished structure. Normal exposure during transport, storage and construction will not reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
